Gossamers

Therefore love moderately. Long love doth so.

Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.

That idles in the wanton summer air,

And yet not fall, so light is vanity.

Gossamers are the fine films of cobwebs which float in the air or catch on bushes. It can also refer to fine materials. There are around 600 to 650 species of spider in the UK and we are surrounded by the results of skillful web weaving.
