Shakespeare’s works are filled with the natural world, its species and habitats. Some of these species are still common in our landscapes but others are declining or threatened. Much has changed in our relationships with the natural world in the past 400 years and through this website I would like to celebrate the unique and diverse histories of Shakespeare’s species.
